Bead Soup Number 6, 3rd Reveal

Well the time for Bead Soup number Six's 3rd and final reveal....
and my name is on the list :)

I was excited to be partnered with Stephanie Dixon aka The Dixon Chick.
I sent her an assortment in Cream & Black with Cream Freshwater Pearls, Black Velvet Ribbon and a pretty Cream Applique to name just a few pieces... sadly I deleted the picture of it (Doh!) so I can't show you what I sent. Royal Mail claim to have delivered it though so that was a relief in itself! I'm really looking forward to seeing what she creates with it all.

I waited for my parcel from Canada with a mixture of excitement and anxiety.
Sadly, my parcel from Stephanie got lost in the world of postal systems (Booo!)
and so I have nothing to show you from Stephanie.
However.... my friend Sarah Goode from Pookledoo stepped in and gave me
a pretty little stash to ease my anxiety levels (Yay!) and so I was still able
to take part, even if it is in a roundabout fashion.

This is what Sarah gave me
And these are what I made with her pretty little stash:

I teamed some of the Cream Roses with Rich Cream & Gold Glass Pearls and Black Findings to form the first bracelet.
I used her 3 strand Clasp, Focal, Glass Pearls, Seed Beads & Sodalite in the second bracelet and mixed them with Silver Plated Hearts, twisting them together loosely.

So a huge Thank You to Sarah for staving off little Miss Anxiety and saving the day. And  Huge Thank You to the lovely Lori Anderson for hosting the Blog Hop and being a champion organiser!

If Stephanie's parcel does find it's way out of the mysterious world of 'post' I will be only too happy to make something and post the results. In the meantime, I'm off to blog hop and see what everyone else has been working their little socks off to make.
I do hope you'll join me?!

  7. I know how frustrating it is when your soup does not arrive. The lovely vintage soup I sent my partner eventually got to her. A sad mangled parcel with all but two things missing. Glad you were still able to make two gorgeous bracelets thanks to your beading friend!

    1. It was very frustrating. Getting a mangled mess is worse though! I hope your beady partner was not too disheartened. The financial loss must be annoying too...

I lost the will to bead and my inspiration ran dry (my moods totally affect my beading). Sarah to the rescue! :)

  21. So sorry about your lost soup. But glad you got another one to play. My favorite is that first bracelet with the cream roses. What an unusual way to wrap/incorporate them into the piece. And the colors all seem to mesh to make a very vintage/feminine piece.

  24. Great job pulling it all together. Your soup is out there somewhere and will probably find you or go home eventually. I guess what is amazing is that as many soups get to where they are going int he first place. Love your bracelet with the nugget pearls. It is so romantic looking - Victorian. Great job!

  32. Your pieces are gorgeous! Isn't it nice to have a friend send you such wonderful goodies?!

    ReplyDelete
  33. That's so disappointing...I think there's a little room at the border where random parcels just get tossed at whim, it's every 50th parcel? I've had several boxes of goodies that have never arrived as well. What a wonderful beady buddy to give you an alternate stash to play with! Beautiful work :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well, maybe your parcel will arrive as a Christmas gift, you never know ;-)
Anyway, you received a great soup from your friend and made a good job!
