Well the time for Bead Soup number Six's 3rd and final reveal....
and my name is on the list :)
I was excited to be partnered with Stephanie Dixon aka The Dixon Chick.
I sent her an assortment in Cream & Black with Cream Freshwater Pearls, Black Velvet Ribbon and a pretty Cream Applique to name just a few pieces... sadly I deleted the picture of it (Doh!) so I can't show you what I sent. Royal Mail claim to have delivered it though so that was a relief in itself! I'm really looking forward to seeing what she creates with it all.
I waited for my parcel from Canada with a mixture of excitement and anxiety.
Sadly, my parcel from Stephanie got lost in the world of postal systems (Booo!)
and so I have nothing to show you from Stephanie.
However.... my friend Sarah Goode from Pookledoo stepped in and gave me
a pretty little stash to ease my anxiety levels (Yay!) and so I was still able
to take part, even if it is in a roundabout fashion.
This is what Sarah gave me
And these are what I made with her pretty little stash:
I teamed some of the Cream Roses with Rich Cream & Gold Glass Pearls and Black Findings to form the first bracelet.
I used her 3 strand Clasp, Focal, Glass Pearls, Seed Beads & Sodalite in the second bracelet and mixed them with Silver Plated Hearts, twisting them together loosely.
So a huge Thank You to Sarah for staving off little Miss Anxiety and saving the day. And Huge Thank You to the lovely Lori Anderson for hosting the Blog Hop and being a champion organiser!
If Stephanie's parcel does find it's way out of the mysterious world of 'post' I will be only too happy to make something and post the results. In the meantime, I'm off to blog hop and see what everyone else has been working their little socks off to make.
I do hope you'll join me?!

My pleasure. Glad you got to take part. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd my blog partner Terri at http://terrisbloomingideas.blogspot.co.uk/ and I have been conspiring. I'll have another special bead soup for you when I see you next! :)
It was fun as always, thanks again :)
DeleteConspiring? I am intrigued.... x
I am being very envious of your threaded replies. I have to get this! I'll ask Grom to help when he wakes up :)
DeleteI'm sorry about your beads, it is so annyoying when something is lost in the post.... BUt the beady you got from your friends are lovely and so are your creations, I love how you used that pretty focal in the 2nd bracelet!
ReplyDeletePostal systems suck! lol Thank you :)
DeleteArgh, but also yay! Love what you made with beads from Sarah, hope your official bead soup arrives some day...x
ReplyDeleteThanks Dee! Here's hoping x
DeleteLovely designs and well done for creating on the hop!
ReplyDeleteNothing like an extra challenge eh? hehe Thank you :)
DeleteSarah is such a sweetie... Both of the bracelets are just lovely! Thanks for your visit and have fun hopping around today!
ReplyDeleteIsn't she just? Thank you for dropping by :)
DeleteWhat a shame about the beads. I hope they find their way to you somehow. But am glad you got to play in the BSBP anyway. I think you did a great job - both bracelets are lovely. I especially like the gold/cream one.
ReplyDeleteI have my fingers crossed. They will probably turn up when I least expect them to and be an extra lovely surprise :) Thank you :)
DeleteI know how frustrating it is when your soup does not arrive. The lovely vintage soup I sent my partner eventually got to her. A sad mangled parcel with all but two things missing. Glad you were still able to make two gorgeous bracelets thanks to your beading friend!
ReplyDeleteIt was very frustrating. Getting a mangled mess is worse though! I hope your beady partner was not too disheartened. The financial loss must be annoying too...
DeleteI lost the will to bead and my inspiration ran dry (my moods totally affect my beading). Sarah to the rescue! :)
Aw, my parcel went astray too, it turned up eventually, albeit damaged. You did great with these pieces though, lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I am praying it turns up one day!
DeleteBeautiful designs. I especially liked how you added the brown seed beads to accent the rose.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteYou did a MAGNIFICENT job and were really patient, too. I finally got in touch with Stephanie today and she should be emailing you. Thanks for participating and I really hope you do again!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lori! I Will participate again. Next time I hope not to have to leave the actual making until the day before reveal :)
DeleteWell done, it's great that you found a soup even though yours was lost.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann. Times of bead crisis show you who your friends are hehe
DeleteThat focal is gorgeous and you did a great job making a beautiful necklace!
ReplyDeleteThank you for dropping by and you lovely comments :)
DeleteLove love love your creations! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments :)
DeleteA little drama apparently gave you all kinds of motivation! Cool pieces!!!
ReplyDeleteJen
It was more like blind panic to be honest! Making the day before reveal is not something I'd recommend lol Thank you Jen for dropping by and your comments :)
DeletePost and missing parcels LOL it happens and so I am glad you got a soup.Lovely work for it all as well.Love and hugs Tanya
ReplyDeleteIt was all very dramatic! lol indeed! :-) Thank you Tanya
DeleteLove the blue and silver bracelet! Fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteI really love what you made! Especially the way you "wrapped" the roses: stunning! Great designs, congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Andra ~ They had no holes which presented a little challenge :)
DeleteLove the focal you received! Both designs are beautiful - great colors!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy :)
DeleteProject with roses is my fav! congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteThe roses...LOVE!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteVery pretty, great job!
ReplyDeleteLove the blue. Like how you put the beads around the roses in the first bracelet.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda :) They had no holes and so presented a little challenge :)
DeleteSo sorry about your lost soup. But glad you got another one to play. My favorite is that first bracelet with the cream roses. What an unusual way to wrap/incorporate them into the piece. And the colors all seem to mesh to make a very vintage/feminine piece.
ReplyDeleteI am lucky to have such a good 'beady' friend! Thank you for visiting and your lovely comments :)
DeleteGreat job with the stand-in soup from Sarah. Hope all goes better next time.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteGotta love that postal service :( But your work is beautiful with the new soup!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rachel :)
DeleteGreat job pulling it all together. Your soup is out there somewhere and will probably find you or go home eventually. I guess what is amazing is that as many soups get to where they are going int he first place. Love your bracelet with the nugget pearls. It is so romantic looking - Victorian. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI think we all tend to forget that. With the millions of parcels they must handle every day, some are bound to go astray. I'm still gonna sulk though LOL Thank you for your kind comments and dropping by :)
DeleteBeautiful...I have been waiting for bead packages from Canada and do no think I will ever see them:-(
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandi :) I'll keep my fingers crossed for the safe arrival of your parcel as well as mine!
Deletethat is too sad that the original package was lost. I love what you did with the soup you got. looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteI live in hope that it will arrive one day. Thank you for dropping by and your lovely comment :)
DeleteI was so sorry to hear about your missing soup, but glad to see you were still able to join in on the fun! Your work is lovely and thanks so much for stopping by my blog earlier too! *Ü*
ReplyDeleteI hope your other package arrives soon, but I love what you did with your new soup! The seed beads wrapped around the rose is a wonderful idea - so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteSo Sorry to hear about your lost package, how wonderful that your friend came through with a replacement. My favorite is the Blue bracelet, I love the deep blue seed beads and the pretty hearts. You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Lori D.
I am so sorry to hear that,as you know mine to my partner got lost too. But some wonderful Ladies was there to help. Beautiful creation, i love all of them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame that you never got your intended bead soup. However, what your friend provided was wonderful. What a sweetie to do that for you!
ReplyDeleteBoth your bracelets are really pretty. I especially like that first one. It's luscious and creamy and elegant. So very yummy! Outstanding job!
Your pieces are gorgeous! Isn't it nice to have a friend send you such wonderful goodies?!
ReplyDeleteThat's so disappointing...I think there's a little room at the border where random parcels just get tossed at whim, it's every 50th parcel? I've had several boxes of goodies that have never arrived as well. What a wonderful beady buddy to give you an alternate stash to play with! Beautiful work :)
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe your parcel will arrive as a Christmas gift, you never know ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you received a great soup from your friend and made a good job!
I'm so glad you got to play along! Your pieces are beautiful, but I'm partial to the blue one.
ReplyDeletelovely pieces you have created with your soup. well done!!
ReplyDeletegreets
jacqueline
This is so lovely. I adore what you did. What a blessing you still got to play. ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery very pretty!
ReplyDeleteVery very pretty!
ReplyDeleteBoo to the post, but yay for great friends and your beautiful work. Hopefully your package will arrive soon! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you had such a bad run of luck with your soup! Your bracelets came out lovely, I like what you did with the seeds on the rose. Enjoy them! gv
ReplyDeletewhat a bummer on your initial soup but yay for new soup :)
ReplyDeleteyou did a lovely job and i really enjoy the colors!
So sad your first soup did not arrive. You did a great job with the soup your friend shared. I absolutely love the pearl bracelet. Great work!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job with the soup your wonderful friend shared! Sorry you didn't receive your first soup! You never really know what you don't get in the mail, do you????
ReplyDeleteSad to hear your parcel didn't show up, but lovely for you that your friend helped out. I love your two bracelets!
ReplyDeleteGreat job. I really like the cream roses & the blue focal. Kudos for working under pressure like no soup showing up.
