Day 5 and counting....

This no smoking lark is, quite frankly, bloody hard work! Yesterday was pure Hell. I am normally quite nice and easy to get on with but boy did I have a short fuse. Luckily, Everyone I come into contact with was pre warned that I am experiencing cravings at a rate of wtf and so no harm was done. I haven't killed anyone, nor threatened to, so it could be worse. I am finding these feelings of aggression the most difficult part. It's like being on the PMS Ferris Wheel. Tonight's forecast? A right stroppy cow probably.

Those close to me have been very kind and helpful... and of course taking the piss a lot, which is a great help. No seriously... from my big brother... it Is a great help *chortles*. They also know when to just leave me the hell alone without me having to say anything. Now that's Really helpful.

I am coping well with the cravings with the help of the Nicorette Mist Spray though Sarah tells me I now smell like a chemists.... but then she agreed it was better than me smelling like an ashtray so I win.

I am determined to keep it up too and have been monitoring how much money I have saved... £32.85 so far! That's not far off a pair of these beauties.....

I have been looking for a couple of days at shoes to treat myself with when I get to a full month without cigarettes and I think this pair might be 'the ones'. Fab! only £47.14 to go....
But then again, aren't these gorgeous too?
Decisions, decisions!! Although I know I Will deserve these after being wonder woman for a whole month, my lil munchkin has had another growth spurt and now actually Needs new shoes as apposed to my mere Wanting. Soon though beautiful new shoes.... you will be mine!

Reasons to Quit....

Well I have gone and done it, the decision has been made and now I have to go through with it. I have no doubt that tomorrow morning it will seem like the most bloody ridiculous idea I have ever had but....

I'm going to try to quit smoking! I have bought some of that quick mist off the telly (£25 quid!) and a stack of chewing gum. Now all I need is a shed load of determination and willpower....
and probably heaps of jelly babies... oh and extra coffee.

Relieve the urge to smoke with NICORETTE® QuickMist Mouthspray.

There are many reasons for me to quit:

1: My Health... I want to see my Son grow to be a Man
2: My Son keeps asking me to
3: I will save shed loads of money
4: With the money I will save I can buy New Shoes!
5: I won't smell like an ashtray
6: A weed will not be in control of my life
7: OK I'm running out.... help!

All of these reasons are perfectly good ones. I'm sure you lot could think of some more to add to my list? And I have a feeling I will need some of you to remind me of these reasons pretty darn soon.

So.... bear with me. Apologies in advance but I will probably be a right grumpy cow for a while. I don't know how long for but I am determined to go through with it.... you will just have to put up with it for the duration. Muwah!

Bead Soup!

WooHoo!! I made it through to the Bead Soup Blog Party
and I am really, really looking forward to it!

I have been matched with Dee Elgie from the UK who makes some fabulous stuff... click on the pic below to view her blog and some of her makes.

In case you can't be bothered to... Dee made this lovely bead called
'My Heart Lies Bleeding'.

Am I a little intimidated, afraid and nervous? Hell yes.....
But I am also greatly looking forward to the challenge. Bring it on!!

Bead Soup Party

Well I have not added to this for a quite while.... I put the lap top away for a time because I got annoyed with myself. What with facebook, blogs, eBay, weheartit (the list goes on...) I was spending far too much time on the darn thing. My day job is the usual organised chaos and quite frankly, I'm absolutely knackered.
Instead (on the evenings I manage to stay awake) I have been beading. Nothing out of this world, I've just been enjoying being engrossed in the colours & stuff and the sense of achievement I get from making something pretty. I like pretty.

And I plan to continue doing more of the same in the new year. I must get myself a new sketch book. I often have ideas for pretties as I drift off to sleep or when I wake up and I really ought to jot them down before I forget. Yeah, yeah, OK, I forget things... lots of things. *blows raspberry*

I have just signed up for Lori Anderson's Bead Soup Party. I'm really hoping my name gets picked to join the swaps and creations (only 200 will be chosen). Thanks to the lovely Sarah over at Pookledo for the heads up.

I'm really quite excited! After re-discovering my creative side, I have been rummaging through my bead stash once more and feeling the 'need to bead'. Bring it on mystery parcel, I relish the challenge :)
